Hi All ![]() Got some new belly pans from Roger in Texas ...928Rus ... You get the huge square rear pan and the front S2 converter pan and a fitting plate for the steering rack crossmember. Fairly easy to fit , took around an hour as not done it before and was a few bolts short but would now take me around 10 minutes either on of off... BUT....it makes the underside of the engine a LOT LOT LOT lower...... Think around 3 inches of clearance.... You can totally forget all speed bumps at over 0.5 mph lol....and don't even get me started on dips or holes in the road that need repairing ![]() I was always told that most 928 do not have them because "mechanics" that worked on the car could not be bothered to refit them..... As I said its only 10 minutes to refit them and after having driven with them on, I think its MUCH more likely that owners have deliberately taken them off because of the reduced ground clearance..... In real life if you hit a hole or dip in the road , there is this HUGE scraping noise that sounds precisely like you just ripped out the whole of the sump and crankshaft etc and you stop and look and all there is , is a tiny scratch on the paint of the belly pans lol... After my runs I may well take them back off as I am not sure if I can live with them ![]() I also fitted my new UEGO Wideband gauge >>> http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=67 Very nice bit of kit and I need it to see if my Nitrous is running lean and it has an output I can feed to my Maxx Extreme Race controller to cut my Nitrous instantly if it gets too lean at a preset of my choice...and all done automatically. Fitting was straight into my Richard Armstrong X-Pipes (same ones as Paul Anderson does) They have a blanked plug for an oxygen sensor that is normally not used in a S2 and its 5 minutes work to remove the blanking plug and fit the Bosch Wideband sensor that comes with the gauge.... Then cut a hole in the floor (near the left foot rest), thread through the big sensor connector, seal the hole with grommet and sealer. I fitted the gauge in my big ally plate in the car and it all works fine... So another couple of things done and a few more to go, then eventually lol I will be ready....... I will add pictures to this thread in the next few days when less busy at work. All the best Brett ![]() |

You could have at least scotchbrited the scrathes off & lacquered the panel before fitting it ![]() What's the Max Extreme panel above the A/F meter? |

Hi ![]() When I have finished adding gauges etc, I will build a new ally panel (with no scratches lol) The Maxx Extreme Race is the Nitrous controller (£700) which controls percentages, pressures, rev limits, bottle heaters etc....it also has a rev counter, fuel pressure, nitrous pressure etc etc....
