Hi all,

I have just got rid of my Boxster S (fantastic car that it was) in favour of my childhood poster car, the Guards Red 928. Despite being less than perfect it runs sweet, goes well and has an MOT. It's a 1985 auto so 4.7, it's kept indoors and is a second car/rolling (on sunny dry days) resto.

I'm on Rennlist and have become a big fan, however mostly US biased so I'm looking to make contact with owners and parts suppliers here in the UK.

I'm learning about it as I go and will hopefully be able to share some knowledge and photos, if anyone's interested.

Hope to hear from some fellow shark owners, and possibly get to some meets when things start up again. Here's hopin'!

Cheers :)

Hi Freddy and congrats on starting your 928 project.

The biggest bunch of U.K. owners can be contacted via the mailing list run by 928.org.uk including many with your model.

A lot of us import parts from the big 3 US suppliers. U.K. OPCs have incredibly helpful parts depts and many honour TIPEC discount of 10%. Rose Passion in France are great, though Brexit will make them considerably less convenient and more expensive.

Hope to meet you in 2021 and look forward to reports on your car.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Thank you for your reply, sorry I didn't see it till now, must set my alerts.

I'm on the 928.org.uk email list which is a great resource and I look forward to each daily instalment.

My 928 is gradually shaping up, great cars, bring on the warmer, drier, less road-salty weather!

:)
