This seems a perennial problem for Porsche’s of all flavours, mine has decided to play the full scale trick which seems to be cured by replacement. I have heard that there was a Subaru that used a very similar design and is a fraction of the price, even allowing for thread adaptors or whatever. Does any one know more about this? Secondly, has any one explored why the senders fail? |

Before getting new sender, check whether the sender wire is shorted to ground. If it is, then the gauge will be pegged full, and it’s wiring issue not sender. |
