My first post here:

Hi guys and girls. I'm a multiple 928 owner/custodian and currently have a January '78. These early cars use lots of quirky parts not found on later models, including the wiper arms and blades. Does anyone know where I can get new wiper blades with the pin fitting? Paul Anderson's says no longer available and suggests I use later arms with regular wiper blades. I refuse to believe Porsche was the only manufacturer using the pin fitting. There has to be somebody out there still making/selling these old blades...?

928.628.217.01 wiper blades for MY78 are showing as NLA.

But I've seen used ones on eBay, so you could just change the rubber strip as one option.

Also check with Roger Tyson at 928sRUs, as he will know whether Porsche has any plans to resume manufacture of the blades.

928 International claim to have them in stock — great supplier I've used many times for my 928 needs:

Thank you both for your replies. I spoke with Nick at wiper blades.co.uk. He was very helpful and asked me to send pictures to be sure. Unfortunately, he couldn't help but he went above and beyond to try. I will use him next time I need some for another car.

928 international can't help either. Roger has a rear wiper on his site that shows a pin attachment but I'm in the UK now.

I was in Kendal today so stopped at Parker &Parker Porsche. They are able to get the rear wiper within 2 days. Since it is 19" and the fronts at 18" seem just a little short on my car, I ordered 3 rears. The fittings are the same.

Thanks again for your help guys. Look forward to meeting up!

Just remembered which car I had, used a pin. The back of my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I think you might be referring to these possibly ? I used to fit them to my old classic RR years ago and I think they are 18inch side fitting.

If you cannot open the link just google it, they were at Steve Parker Land Rovers.

Sorry, didn't reply earlier. Moved house... excuses, excuses. Now reunited with my 928 and it's currently wintering in the garage. I'll register it next year. Snow on the ground here in sunny Swaledale.

Those Range Rover Classic wipers look to be perfect. Would have saved me a few quid too. From the pictures, I prefer them to the plasticky ones already supplied by Kendal OPC.
