Hi Adrian :)

I realised around 2 miles later when it started running very roughly :(

Getting a local Mobile mechanic ( a friend) to drain the whole 86 ltrs tomorrow :(

Then refill etc...

All the best Brett :)

Time to get a diesel fired workshop heater. After all you have paid for a load of fuel and the space heaters are not that fussy what they burn?

Hi All :)

Had bad fuel drained today... then filled up completely with another 85 litres of fresh fuel.... not running very well...took for a 10 mile drive and it improved slightly...anyone used any additives to clean out remaining diesel ????

All the best Brett :)

Well Brett, you are a silly boy! Think you have a couple of options, drain the tank again and refill, you will have reduced the diesel content percentage. Take the car out as is, find a nice quiet dual carriageway somewhere, about 15miles long and give her a flat out run on full nitrous for the whole length, turn round and come back the other way again on full beans, if she holds up make your way to the nearest Shell garage and fill with some of their finest VPower, you will probably notice an improvement, if not repeat until you do

Good luck mate, keep topping it off as soon as you can get a few gallons in the tank, will get better as long as you got most of the diesel out on the tank draining. This is nothing like as bad as filling a diesel with petrol!

Hi All :)

Took the car for a long run today..its improving slightly....lol..spoke to John Speake (MAF specialist) who was extremely helpful.... more miles and a MAF clean will help I think.... if no major improvement , I may have it TERRACLEANED....(think clean fuel system and Injectors WITHOUT removal)

All the best Brett :)

Brett, if your fuel is contaminated with diesel, how come the maf is contaminated? It's up stream of the injectors. The key to getting rid of any potential contamination is dilution. Ideally just a few litres pumped round and junked repeated would get the required dilution rather than trying to consume a whole tank full. Could you drain off the first load and flush the fuel feed through, jumping the fuel pump relay to do so?

Hi :)

All the mixed fuel was drained and 86 lts of new petrol put in but, i suspect the Injectors have become partially blocked...its getting slightly better every time i drive it but not doing enough miles really as too busy at work.... i hope that maybe TERRACLEAN would be a shortcut for me...will speak to them tomorrow..

All the best Brett :)

Hi All :)

Spoke to TERRACLEAN guy today...really helpful and honest...

Its really intended for removing CARBON build up so they cannot guarantee it will cure my diesel problem....

They are happy to try though....official cost for a 4.7 ltr engine is £150 + Vat...

I think im going to put a lot more miles on it to see if that helps....which is almost precisely what Paul Anderson said :)

All the best Brett :)

I had a concern about my injectors a while back, I took the OS rail off with all the injectors. Nipped the rail in the vice and applied an air line to the end, holding a thumb over the other end while my long suffering wife energised each injector in turn. In my case they sprayed beautifully and I happily replaced the rail, confident that whatever else might not work at least the injectors did. Ended up being glad I had grasped what I thought was going to be hard work.

Hi All :)

Put another 30 miles on this evening to try and clear more diesel out.... fuel pressure is fine (I have a digital fuel pressure gauge for my Nitrous system) BUT A/F on my wideband is reading REALLY rich at idle at 10 :( Car is improving SLIGHTLY every time i put some more miles on but its still not running correctly :(

All the best Brett :)

Hi Sean :)

I seriously thought about it...

BUT Nitrous is extremely fuel sensitive...my system has 16 EXTRA Fuel injectors to cope with the 8 Nitrous ones and they are designed to run WITH my 8 Porsche Injectors...at a very precise rate.......and if not enough fuel reaches the engine while Nitrous is running....my engine will have A VERY big bang :(

All the best Brett :)
