Post subject: | lot's of GTS models for sale |
Hi guy's Being a non Porsche owner but really really wanting one, I tend to scan the classifieds quite often to see what the market is doing, and is it me or are there a lot of 928 GTS models for sale at moment. There's even two manual ones for sale on Pistonheads and another one on Autotrader. Could it be the fuel cost's or something else I've missed because I was holding out for a GT when I could pay cash for one, but three GTS manuals on the market is making my credit card itchy. Don't know if I could stretch it to £14-£18k but it's very tempting. Magazines say these models are going up in value so should I bite the bullit and get one now or wait on to see what happens? What's your opinion? Cheers Andy |

Its the running costs that are the value killer, but............ as 2nd or 3rd car/toy when your only doing a few thousand miles a year they start to make a lot more sense and they are sooo much car for the money. I think there are a lot of people in the same boat, all waiting to see if the value is strenthening or will the next hypothetical oil crisis rock the boat again as I have heard your question asked throughout various porsche circles recently with the GTS being the weapon of choice and as you have noticed quite plentiful at the moment. All sports/high performance cars are slow selling at the moment, how low can they go? Crystal ball time, if you can stretch to the best of the breed do so, have a serious look around at the options, turn up and view the favourites and be ready to make a purchase because as soon as Browns global warming, tree hugging, lentil eating, anti motoring mafia have found their next scapegoat or spring arrives they will all be gone ![]() |

Yes I know I should do it now, it's just taking the plunge with such a complicated car. Trust me to like the most expensive, sophisticated classic car. I looked at a couple and people are asking top whack money which I don't mind paying but grudge doing so to then fork out more money putting the thing right. Alright if your're spending couple of grand on a car to make better but not £15 grand on a 13 year old or so car to then have to fix. I ain't got a bottomless pocket the cars got to work straight away otherwise it'll annoy me. Thanks for encouragement (Gordon ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Andy |
