Need to replace all rear speakers on quarter cards three speakers on each card they are very shallow in depth has any one replaced them with any make of speaker.

I replaced the 6.5inch rear speakers with MBQuarts DSD216 which fit fine, but they were hard to find back then (2009) so probably unavailable now.

Had to use the original plastic mounting rings by cutting off old speaker.

Are you on the 928uk email list? There is a guy on there - Mike Parris - who is absolute guru on 928 speaker replacement and all in-car audio matters. The question comes up a lot as the 928 has relatively shallow mounting space for speakers (so owners are not only looking for replacement speakers that fit, but advice on fitting sub-woofers to improve bass performance).
