Hi All :)

I think I mentioned that I am crewing for a Swedish ProMod this weekend for an old friend of mine (Mats Wiktor)...at the Pod.

Here is a photo of the engine.....

Its a 13.5 ltr V8 that makes our 928s look a little small lol....

It ran a test run today at the Pod...without Nitrous to get a base line...only 7.6 seconds....

Tomorrow the team will turn on the Nitrous....and Sunday I get there to crew for the semi finals and finals.... that's when it gets really fast lol.... :bounce:

All the best Brett :)

Hi Brett,

Bit late to post this, but good luck on Sunday.

I went to the Pod Yesterday (Saturday), and had a great day. It was totally nuts!! Considering that it is a European Championship, it is great value for money (compared to say a ticket to the British GP!).

Hi David :)

Both good and bad news....lol

Mats ran a PB of 6.666 at 206 mph....

The bad news is that due to a pre existing problem we used around 60% of our Nitrous capability only and he burnt out a valve and guide and also took out a piston and liner :(

Which meant no more weekend for the car, even though that one run , qualified us...

As the engine needs machining for the new liner etc, its back to Sweden for Mats and the Pro Mod Car, which is a huge shame as we were expecting a low 6 on the next run, or even a high 5 ...

Good day at the Pod though, fantastic sunny day and it was totally packed.

Better luck next time maybe....

All the best Brett :)
