As above, looking to get some x pipes made up and would like to go custom as opposed to the off the shelf ones that seem a tad expensive.

Any suggestions on where has done a good job before up here?

Seem to remember Lee telling me you had yours done up here but can't mind who did it.

I'm definitely not doing it myself without a ramp!

Cheers,
Olie

Hi Olie :)

Don't have them designed yourself...it wont work...

I had a discussion with Richard Armstrong (who designed the UK X-Pipes that he and Paul Anderson sell) once.....

He told me he had to redesign and dyno his various ideas to get the flow correct around 40 times.... before he was happy....that's 40 times ON A DYNO.....

As properly designed X-Pipes are one of the few mods that actually DO give extra horsepower (around 20 to 25)...I would buy the correct ones from Paul A or Richard A... I use them and they even flow enough for my huge Nitrous system...

IF you design them I can actually see you LOSING horsepower... IMHO...

All the best Brett :)

I fully understand what Brett is saying, and yes there are gains to be had by fitting an X pipe. For me, getting the old cats off was more beneficial than anything else. The cats must have been choked and were restricting the flow of gasses. You can buy the Ritech system pipes, or I got Wiiie Meerkat to do mine. Willie can explain the science behind them, and there is a bit of technology behind the pipe, it's not just 2 pipes welded together. :D
