Hello all

My 86.5 has leak in one of the hoses, so I have removed them, some. Guys on here have had them remade at pirtech, can you tell me what they made up. As the discussion we had with them was they would replace the hose part only not the metal bits is this right?

Cheers in advance john

I am just doing mine. Try Jon Mitchell on here "jmgarage", he's happy to answer any questions and his parts prices are reasonable.
I have got a high pressure hose for the pas from him and if you're a TIPEC member he will give you 10% off

Not Porsche but on my Jeep the guys replaced some of the steel piping & flexis. They had to braze one pipe together & used compression joints on the other one. This was a week or so ago. Total job £73 & turned around in under two hours.

Yes that's correct Pirtek replace the rubber line which is crimped onto the metal fittings/line at either end. The leak (probably pinhole in high pressure line to rack) is either in hose section or perhaps at joint with metal, so that's the correct procedure to repair.

Make sure they use swivel fittings as the angle of the banjo bolt sections is critical to align squarely with the rack and the pump. Swivel fittings means you needn't worry about attaching fittings at precisely correct orientation to hose.
