Made these for the rear lower wheel arches, after I localled the paint and did,nt want any more gravel rash.., simply some old flexible plastic, cut to shape with a cardboard template. Went to my local Ford dealer bought 6 clips ( Ford Focus mudflap clips) even the part no was good ( F 101 " 928" 7 ) Then I fabbed some right angle brackets to locate the lower section , best thing is, there were no holes drilled in the car, so it can be returned to normal without problem. Hope you like, I,m happy the way they turned out. Ken http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/1853/2 ... 134405.jpg |

Mudflats were a factory option but I've only ever seen them on one car - Derek Cashmore's lovely black 1991 S4. I don't know if any are available in Germany. They have rubber embossed "928" running across width |

( I measured them ) They,re ok if you have the standard wheels and no rear wide track fitted , but they did look huge when I tried them on the car irrispective of rear wheel width. The idea behind my design was to have some lower arch protection and still have the fat rear tyres showing, as I don,t think the 928 suits "real mudflaps" Ken |

Llewelyn wrote: Ken, they look great! Is your garage carpeted? ![]() ..., actually it is, plus heated...., and that,s a dehumidifier you can see at the front.., the carpet idea was something an old chaufer told me about years ago, any dampness in the air is attracted to the carpet thus reducing the dampness in air quality, plus the dehumidifier does,nt work overtime. Before I layed the carpet the car would occasionaly "sweat" during the cold winter months, now I never ever get that ![]() Ken |
