Post subject: | Headlamp Aim Switch |
Hi, I'm new here and hoping for a little assistance. Recently acquired an S4 after an 8 year gap since selling my last S4. First job is an interior clean - big clean, inc all carpets. I cannot for the life of me remember how to separate the headlamp aim switch from its section of carpeted trim. Boot release etc is off no problem, but the aim switch has stumped me. Annoyingly I should know as I replaced the entire carpet on my last S4 - Any help greatly appreciated! Also this section of trim also has another switch that I am unfamiliar with, a plain black rocker switch. Ie it has the aim switch, boot release switch, handbrake void trim plus the extra unmarked black rocker switch - what is it for??!! Many thanks in advance! |

The rocker switch is the "vent" switch. If you have remote locking in one position the windows and sunroof close if open when you lock car. In other position the windows stay open, and alarm system ignores ultrasonic inputs so not triggered by waft if air. Handy on hot days at car shows! There's a LED indicator too on console which shows whether vent position selected. |

"It's so you can leave the dog in the car" is what he said. ![]() ![]() |
