Yip, been in it and it is sweet. I've got pictures of it somewhere at the 928 meetings we've had. Phil is a very nice guy and after the work he has put into it, I can't believe he is selling it? We both done our engine mounts at the same time, and he bought brand new from OPC at £285 each!!!!! + VAT. I did think Roger Tyson was going buy it after he was over for his dads funeral? Must not have happened?

The car is original and 100%. :D

Without knowing the car, £10k does seem to be a lot of brass for a 928SE !!!!
Have seen later 928's in excellent condition for much less.

£10k for an SE is a bit on the cheap side I think. A silver one went last year for that price, and it was in need of full restoration and had no history. The problem with trying to price an SE is, it doesn't fit into any other category. There were only 42? I think, made for the uk, and came equipped with "club sport" running gear. It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I think it is going to be a bargain for someone! I wish it was me. The fact that I know the car makes it all the more depressing for me to see it go so cheap. The car is concourse with the original spare set of belts it was supplied with, still wrapped up in the boot under the spare wheel. Knowing what he paid for it, and how much he has spent on it makes me sad about why he is selling it.

Agree with Lee - this is a ridiculously low price for a Porsche of this rarity and apparent quality. Compared with prices for tired 911s of same year it is astonishing.

Mine still had the spare belts & plastic gloves it was shipped with in the back when I got it but I threw them away because they were obviously not safe to use. ('84 S2)

Maybe I should have kept them? :?

Apologies for my ignorance - I didn't appreciate it's worth.

Hi All :)

I seriously considered buying it as an investment...particularly if I could get it for 10k...but...

Two reasons I doubt I will..

1, It might not like Nitrous lol.. (joke)

2, It would get little use as I use mine every day and wouldnt change as mine is a little faster obviously, plus I dont like the thought of it rotting in storage...waste of a nice car...

Ah well....it might get cheaper, then I would have to buy it :)

All the best Brett :)

Off topic but what's that warning light showing on Lee's dash in the photos above? Alternator not charging?
