Post subject:  Replacement brake lines hard

Hello

Whilst trying to changing out the rear flexible hoses on my 86, we had to remove one of the hard lines, this is completley fubared with the threads shot etc, can someone suggest a replacement for these lines maybe in stainless steel or flexible.

Cheers in advance

John

When I change flexis, I naturally assume the hard lines will be dead & have a reel of copper pipe, a selection of brass unions & a flaring tool. Any motor accessory/factors can knock them out, but by using brass unions & copper pipe I can guarantee that A. they'll fit & B. in future I can get them apart. Also because I have the kit to do it, I can make when when everyone is closed!

It is normally listed as 3/16" I normally get a real from E Bay TBH. The unions on most Porsches are 10mm x 1mm & I buy an assortment of the males. I think there is a long & a short & most Pork ones seem to be long. However different Pork could change this.
