Look down this page a bit, viewtopic.php?f=27&t=10440&start=0 I don't know if Ben got any further with his research? I know people on the 928uk site have talked about the benefits of changing their interior lights to LED as the current draw, when operated, is less. It's on my list to do. The first one's I'm going to do are the dash lights as they are already out on mine. ![]() |

Aye, interior LED's all-round is a job I'll be doing in the winter. Money is getting tighter ( the wife is watching what I spend on the 928, it would be easier to buy a new one ) so I'm doing the steering rack and engine mounts just now. I'm just trying to get the car ready for Europe next May and the Monaco F1. |

Lee I hate to tell you but even I don't think your 928 is fast enough for the Monaco F1 Grand Prix. ![]() |

Joe / others I Chromed my rear light reflectors which greatly increased and sharpened the light output and sort of nullified the need for LED's. ![]() But this was very expensive - and tricky - as the paint is highly conductive. The light module has to be fully dismantled using a custom tool and all the paint has scraped away from all the positive conductors. ![]() I have installed a wide LED 3rd brake light which does not reduce any rear vision (like the Porsche one) but does conflict with the rear sun visors - which I am going to have to customize. But then how often do you use the rear sun visors ? I have replace all the internal 'white' lights with LED ones [ highly recommended and easy to do.] ![]() I have customized the HAVC controls with LED's using fiber optic cable - with varied success. I have blue LED'ed the the AC button - very proud of that one. ![]() ![]() ![]() I have replaced the door open red lights with LED's left over from experiments with the front parking / side lights. I have purchased, but not yet fitted, the LED's for the Pod ( from JAGER ) I still plan to replace the 10mm single LED's currently fitted to the front parking / side lights with multi-cluster LED's - sometime soon - will post pics here. Hi ya all, If you replace your rear lights with LED's, due to the low current it will come up as a fault, ie blown bulb, you will need to fit resistor's as the same wattage as the bulb's you've replaced. I'm thinking about changing mine to LED's but not just changing the bulb's but making a custom board full of LED's and fitting it inside the lens, similar to the new Audi's etc Fast car's are good, but bike's rock |

I have changed a few 928's front side lights to LED strip lights like the Audi etc. Have sold a couple of dozen of these kits to 928ers for £28.95 See photo below. Let me know if your interested. Cheers Steve bizman928@hotmail.co.uk

Multi-cluster LED's [left] appear to be an improvement over the 10mm singles [right]. ![]() Ben |

Hi Ben Nice comparison & great improvement. By Multi-cluster do you mean the SMD type with a few plates on them vs. the single LED @ 10mm? Here's a comparison I did of stock "bright" std bulb vs. Single LED in std side light socket + LED Sidelightight strip. Its amazing the improvements on std lights you can get with modern bulbs & LED lights Cheers Steve Attachment: DSC_0032.jpg [ 83.25 KiB | Viewed 15001 times ] |

Hi Steve - Yes - It's a 15 point SMD LED. However, looking on Google, the technology seems to be moving very fast and I think you can now get a similar bulb thats even brighter so I might even change them again. ![]() I've got a new challenge now - the side 4W indicator repeater bulbs. I got some clear lenses supplied with orange bulbs but they are very very dim. ![]() Ben |

Hi Ben Very interested in the new bulbs you reference on Google. Sounds intriguing As for the side repeaters, woul dneed to look into that more deeply. Steve |

Good morning guys, I'm curious, is their any reason why I can't have my main headlights just pop up when I want to use them? It would be nicer when using the side lights not to have the main light up! Then I'd like to fit some brighter bulbs for the side lights. Thanx for looking Atb Mark |
