Well, for the past twenty years I,ve put up with pod illumination that work,s when it want,s, I recently had the pod to bits ( new odo gear wheel ) so I set about checking out the dimmer wheel/switch, thought I,d fixed it but no. Went to JCT Newcastle, and bought a new dimmer switch, (wish I,d bought it before I put the pod back) but hey-ho never mind, I,m about to go upside down, and which way whatever, in fitting the new Rheostat. Hope my sixty year old back hold,s out. Will let you know the outcome,................., if I,m able !! ![]() ![]() |

Hi Ken, You can replace the dimmer switch without taking pod off. Also I leave mine at full brightness anyway, so you could have just bridged the contacts to the dimmer which would eradicate any problem with unreliable contacts in the dimmer switch itself. My back's younger (not by much) than yours and I hate wriggling under the dash too! Cheers, Adrian |

Cheers, Adrian Thank,s Adrian, yes I knew the dimmer could be replaced in situ, that,s waht I meant about being upside down ![]() I also thought about bridgeing it out, but decided to keep original, that way I can reduce the bulb output/heat during daylight. I,m limbering up at the moment in anticipation of being aching all over ![]() |
