Hi

Does anyone know where I may be able to get a replacement S4 rear spoiler? Mine has parted company with its fixings and I cant see a way of repairing it.

Any assistance appreciated!

Rob

If you use the link below and register (free of charge) we have one or two members who are breaking various cars... Simon Watson in particular..... hope this helps

BTW when buying a replacement make sure that the 4 threaded studs are still properley attached to the underneath of the spoiler...

They also come up occasionally on eBay - there was one in the last couple of weeks but one of the studs was damaged

Does Roger not sell a replacement? I've seen a new one for sale on a web site recently. I don't think I've clicked on anything but the links on 928uk site? Postage would be a killer though.

Hi Rob,

If it's just that the studs have broken, then they are fixable, I did mine. You can drill down the centre of the stud and re-tap them. Mine is solid now. Three of the four studs on mine were destroyed.

Hi

Been down this route once before and done the tap and die fix - unfortunately its 3 out of the 4 plastic(??)holders that have parted company with the metal retaining strip.

I have fixed today (subject to a run out tomorrow) by using masonry screws and rawl plugs - not exactly sophisticated but seems to have worked!

HI,

Not sure what you mean by plastic holders, on mine there are four metal studs, connected to metal plates embedded in the rubber. You can drill right down the centre of the studs (tricky) and then tap them out, or if there is no stud left drill through the metal plate, though it;s quite thin, but seems to be enough to hold a bolt. There are thick nylon rings that go round the studs but these are not attached to the metal and can be prised out.

But i hope your fix worked.

G
