happy new to you all, can any one help with my interior heater problem, it works fine most times, but sometimes when it is on it just cuts out and comes on again, it will always work on speed 4 but 1,2,3, can be intermittent, the temperature is works fine hot and cold can you help thanks john |

John, there is a guy who has a few 928's breaking in the UK. These are terminal cars that he is using to build one good car. If you go here 928.uk and look at number 5. His name is Simon and I've used him several times. Just phone his mobile and tell him you were pointed there by me and he will make sure you get what you need. Let us know how you get on. |

There is failure mode where overheat safety cuts in and blows air at max speed over the resistors ( wire coils). Access is under the plastic rain cover under windscreen. There are various tricks to retrieving the pack from the blower fan ducting. Google Nichols 928 tips or check Rennlist for many write-ups for the procedure. It's such a common fault it has a name: "Magic blower syndrome". Won't be a fault with temp sensors as they control only the mix of hot/cold air, not the blower motor itself. Cheers Adrian |
