Good news! It is open.

Took an experienced locksmith two hours to get it unlocked.

It was the original lock so the key should have opened it. Due to lack of lubrication it had totally seized solid. A lesson to us all to keep things lubed?

Hi Brett,

£80, which I have to say I am well happy with.

I was at work but my wife tells me he tried everything including picking it from inside wedged in the back of the car during todays mid day heat!

Hats off to him, he kept going and the good news is the ignition key works in it.

Been told to keep filling it with grease as its still a bit stiff.

Well pleased.

Regards
Paul

Oh yes.... but hopefully not as frustrating as this one!

Next job is the fuelling issue. There are relays all over the floor, so going to spend some time going through whats what this weekend and will order anything missing from the board. Weird thing is some are labelled Ford!

Regards
Paul

Hi,

Funny you should mention that :D I was going to ask.

I have had a look through the manual and I think I am right in saying it does not detail the fuse/relay board specifically, but individually in each circuit instead? So will be much quicker to take a couple of pictures?

Regards
Paul

Hi,

That is a useful link. Thanks for that!

I am surprised the manuals dont have one source of info for the relays/fuse board.

Can't imagine the U.S version is too different?

Regards
Paul

Hi Paul :)

Not much different...i think they have a couple of extra relays for things like rear aircon etc (that you do not have )

All the best Brett :)
