I also listed it for sale on here first, unfortunately my domestic circumstances have changed as I really had intended keeping this car, although the general consensus of opinion on Rennlist agreed with Brett, in so much as the best course of action initally would be to fit a Shark Vent (or similar) and just do a top end refresh. It wasn't so much the oil consumption, which I could have lived with, it's that bloody embarassing puff of smoke that comes out on the over run that I was looking to get rid of.
I'm not sure how much interest there would be at The Merry Miller as I've only had two response so far, the usual I'll pitch a stupid price one and another that seemed to place great importance on the fact that it hadn't had a replacement steering rack. Apparently this is totally wrong as I was told that it's a well known fault of 928's. That's news to me as I've never noticed anything wrong with the steering since I've owned the car, in fact one of the reasons I bought it was because I was so impressed with how precisely it handled for it's weight. I took it out yesterday and was still impressed at how well it cornersa and then came back totally dejected that I've got to sell it, but I won't let it go for stupid money. I washed and polished it when I got back yesterday and then just stood there looking at it, sad but true!
