Thanks Chris! Very candid and obviously your car wanted for nothing. Would be great to hear your informal comparison of the GTS and your 996 Turbo sometime. I'm only ever really aware of differences between cars when stepping out of one into another.

Will certainly do that. At the moment the Turbo is sitting in the garage. Although she is pretty filthy because of the crap weather, I haven't taken her out for a really good spin yet. Am waiting until this spate of bad weather is over and the relations have returned home to South Africa after 6th January.

I can say that there is a huge power difference between the two. Although the 928 really is a beast of a car, there is something almost sneaky about the way the Turbo suddenly erupts and it's really quite awesome - almost scary - the amount of additional power she has over the GTS. Both lovely cars to drive - can't wait to get out there and really put it through some paces, in the dry, of course! :)

All the best
Chris

Chris's had to be one of the best Manual GTS around - homework and research would need to be very thorough on future cars that you find forsale - it may help you to visit http://www.928.org.uk/ and let the guys know what you are after - I know there was at least 1 GTS for sale when we had our last meet at the Merry Miller - but things change daily.......
