The 928 'Aero mirror kit' is only available on import and for left hand drive cars only. (supplied un-painted)

Try 928international, 928gt.com, pelicanparts.com etc.

This might be the winner of this years stupid question award, but I'm going to ask anyway. What is the diffrence between a left hand drive car mirror and right hand drive car mirror. Is there not enough adjustment to see out it from the change in driving position? If so, could some washers be put in to angle it?

I'm going to get slaughtered for that remark aren't I.

Pretty sure it is convex, flat glass. Can't remember which way around. They are standard 968/964 mirrors by the look of them & the bases are probably different.

Bases are different between 911 and 944 so presume 928 different again

The porscheshop only appear to sell kits for the 944, 964 and 965 ??

Like lindsayhbrown said - bases could be different? Phone them up and ask if they will fit a 928? - but if they just say 'yes' then get them to confirm this in writing! because at over £400 per kit you wouldn't want to be stuck with them if they don't.

You also want to confirm that the kit is for a RHD vehicle - because if their not you won't be able to see s*it out of them. [You can't adjust them either]. It's just a question of fitting RHD lenses but the lenses are over £120 per set to buy separately!

A proper UK 928 RHD kit should come with lens part numbers : 965 731 036 00 & 965 731 037 00

Good Luck.

You can get all the bits you need to convert the mirrors to the GTS style for about £320 from OPC. The Porscheshop price is as usall a ripoff

The bases are different LHD & RHD on all Porsche from 1975-97

There are 2 different base types, 965 ones that fit all 911, 964 & 993 and 928 ones that fit 924, 944, 968 & 928

OPC is your nearest Official Porsche Centre. Chech the Porsche web site for your nearest. Somtimes parts from the manufacturer is the best way to go.

Btw I sent you a pm with links to more sites you can down load tips, did you get it?

New Genuine Porsche mirrors are only available from OPC, have a look at PET and you will see the bits you need (some bits you can take off your old mirrors, like motors and save money)
