Hi folks, have a faulty brake light switch (or wiring) and would like to test the switch.

Have read there is 2 switches under the master cylinder but I can't see or feel them.

Anyone have a pic or accurate description where I'll find the switches?

Aware that brakes will need bled.

Many thanks.

Smashing, thanks for that. I'm assuming its accessed from the engine bay?

I've only got 1 Brakelight out, I'll give the switch a go but if its just one, that's gonna mean wiring yeah?

Ah, excellent, so no need to bleed the brakes, its just a switch on the pedal. I'll swap the switch out anyway and see if that sorts it. Hope its not the wiring.

FYI the switches on the master cylinder are pressure switches, cylindrical thread brass fittings with a plug on the top of each!

(Just in case you have been looking for a micro switch/electromechanical switch! Although I can't recall if they were engineered out on the S4s as I never had this problem on my GT)

Good luck, hope this helps!
