Will a cover for an S4 fit in an S2 :?:

Yes it should.

I think you only need to be careful with the very early cars as some of these had covers secured by pop-studs, but by the S2 they were all using the elastic bungees.

If you want to be certain, just check that you have the necessary holes, one on each side by the rear seats and two in the tailgate trim.

Just managed to obtain an S2 luggage cover. Very weird design in the way that it uses the elasticated cord

My cover seems to be quite saggy; can I sort this by shortening the cord lengths. Also confused as to how the ziped section should be used

It has poppers on this section but nothing on the car to attach it to. How is it supposed to be used :?:

It may be that your elastic is a bit weak but I don't know that the cover is supposed to be completely taut when the rear hatch is closed, depends on what you are expecting.

The zipped section is designed to be folded out of the way (attaching to itself using the poppers) as this part of the cover is only used when the rear seats are folded down to extend over the increased luggage space. Presumably the zip means that you can fold down one rear seat independently of the other.

Yes I assumed that the zipped section was for when the seats are down but there is nothing to fix it too which seems weird and renders the cover useless.

The cover lies on top of the luggage and covers it, thus fulfilling its purpose; what were you expecting?

I guess I was expecting something a bit more sophisticated; the zipped section should attach in some way to the car when the seats are down IMHO. Maybe German engineering is not all is cracked up to be (not in 1985 anyway)

Had a further play with the cover today. I reduced the length of the rear bungee cords by about 150mm each side and the cover now sits in the load area much better. I also used the poppers to roll the zipped part of the cover behind the seats. Looks far better now

I have brought 2 different rear covers and i couldnt get either to fit.
What i did was buy 2 plastic boxes with lids. The type you might put under the bed lol
i then cut a piece of ply to fit over them and carpet. It looks like its ment to be their and its really usefull.
