Hi All,
Me again may sound really sad but has anybody any information on what colour the exhaust would have been on my 1982 porsche when it first came out of the factory as I want to paint it the orginal colour.

From what I can tell the very back two pipes at the back of the car you can see are black however was the rest of the system black or was it maybe just a silver colour before it was driven & all burned off
Thanks
Malcolm Thompson

I fitted exhausts after school in the 80's for extra pocket money. All exhausts had a matt silver look paint, which burned off (quite distinctively) to reveal the pipe underneath. I'm not sure where you would get such a paint these days? I was probably lead based or something that has since been banned.

[Geek mode on] A pipe is made from flat metal being folded and welded into a cylinder, therefore having a seam down it length. A tube is formed in shape and does not have a seam or weld down its length.[/Geek mode off]

Hi John,
Thanks for example on price between Bournmouth & Bristol as I have been using Briistol but they seem to be getting expensive.

I Agree they are a little hard to do buisness with good to start with but not very flexible & the prices seem to reflect that
