Hi

I've got a 1991 928 S4 and need to change the front suspension bushes fairly soon, (they were an advisory on the last MOT), but Porsche don't do the bushes separately, only the whole top wishbone section for about £600 each side, which seems a trifle steep to me, does anyone know anywhere that may do just the bushes? Ideally I'd like to replace them like for like with rubber ones, but if PU ones are the only option then obviously I would consider them.
Thanks in advance
Jon

These are the ones I'm going to fit. I was told that they are not a direct match, but if you file the lip off the end, they press in.

I got mine from design911.co.uk - I think the're about £100 a set.

But be warned - you will need to trim them and have them pressed in - with a .... press.

Alternatively you could import a better fitting and purpose made set the States for a bit more money. - from 928gt.com / 928international.com etc.

and god help you if you need to replace the lower ones because they are about £1000 EACH.

Ben

Thanks guys for the speedy replies, it looks like PU is the way forward, I was initially looking to go for rubber as I've not had any experience of PU ones and I'd heard that they would make the ride a bit hard and bumpy, but an opinion doesn't count much without personal experience and if I was going for soft and wallowy(?) then I'd get another 80's merc.

Pictures as requested, a little old now, I've replaced the spoiler with a colour coded one. You'll have to excuse the fat bloke and his proud mum, I am an international man of mystery, honest.

Well done sir, that is a very nice car. I'm sure you'll have many happy times in that.
