Hi :)

I have GOT to ask....

Why do you need mains and big ends ??

Normally if you need those the crank will be damaged :( and I seem to remember a 928 crank is a couple of THOUSAND pounds....

I do not imagine mains and big ends will be a lot less ...

All the best Brett :)

well brett. hmmmmmmm , all i want to know if there is a good supplier , of quality bearings,. i am building a engine , i have had the crank tuffrided, , have steel conrods, which came from oz,, have new forged pistons . to my own spec from je, california,, have a steel billet flywheel and 7.1/4 twin plate paddle clutch from escort cosworth,, i am in the middle of putting spun cast liners in the engine block, done 6 two to do, will have them done by tommorow,, sump has been baffled and scavenge plated, , so the big build will start next week , , aim for 12.5 comp, target is 250bhp per bank, using porsche 930 injectors, with modified metering head unit, , my 1969 lotus elan does 220bhp from 1850cc, 4cyinders,and thats 12.5:1 comp, so if 250per side cant be got normaly aspirated, will be a poor show, can load up some pics,, the car its self is in accrington at the moment getting rewired, ripped full wiring harness out weights 40kg, and light weight harness is being fitted,, was ment to get it tomorrow but the weather , has stopped that, , so what about big ends and mains , still need a good supplier, and what about glass fiber tailgate?

Hi :)

I agree about Roger....also he will be roughly half the price of an OPC for the bearings...

Regarding the tailgate.... no, I have never seen or heard of one being supplied from anywhere in Fiberglass, although you would save a HUGE amount of weight if you had one made....

Most of the 928 Racers use Lexan or similar for rear glass replacement (and side) and use the original frame of the hatch....

All the best Brett :)
