Hi All,

I have bought a fantastic full leather interior for my S2 a few weeks ago which I will be putting in once the re spray is done.
I had to put one of the seats together as it had been couriered in a box to me and gave the leather a good clean (not that it needed it)
Anyway .... firstly what a joy it was to put together. They are made with such quality. No wonder Recaro are such a strong brand.
I notice some of the wiring loom has mercedes badges on which was interesting.
Also ... and the reason for the post ... they drivers seat has a big box on the underside with a cable coming out of it. I am guessing this is the window closing thing that is on the S4 onwards? (Seats came from a 1990 car)
Or is it something else. It was sealed and didnt want to force open in case I broke something.

Would like to remove it if I can. Anyone know for certain what it is?
Thanks
Regards
Paul

I'm almost certain the window/sunroof controller is under the passenger seat in a RHD car.

I am certain that while the wiring from it joins into a single loom a few inches from the controller, the wiring connects to the box with two multipin plugs.

The controller will show very clearly the p/n 928.618.240.00

Can you see any part number?

Hope Andrew Fenwick chimes in as I only know about its position because of his experiences removing/checking his, and he was good enough to send me a photo showing the box and wiring connectors so he is the expert on this!

Hi Ya,
No part number on it. It is a wide plastic box.
I will see later if I can open it and will post picture.
Just wondered what it is. I think it is the window controller for the later model.

If can get confirmation will pull it off.

As don't have my own car at moment (still in garage ... 6 weeks now!) I can't see if I have the same.

I just assumed the window controller on an S4 was on the floor rather than under the seat.

I should just check PET! (If I had a brain...)

Regards
Paul
