Hi All :)

Smelt some petrol last night and thought...have a look at weekend...lol

That was a mistake...

Took son to have his eyes lasered this morning and when I got back...noticed petrol dripping from under rear of car....and a fast drip at that...

Drove straight to Jon Mitchells garage (JMG)

He instantly pulled a car off one of his ramps and put mine on (with a bucket which rapidly half filled with petrol)

My return fuel pipe which is metal and goes up and over the tank and into the top of the tank had rusted through :(

James replaced it with the new plastic pipe used on all the later 911`s with compression fittings and did a brilliant job :)

Total cost for 90 minutes work plus pipe and fittings...... an extremely reasonable £60....

Very highly recommended !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the best Brett :)

I hope the NOS is installed to a higher standard Brett

Seriously though good news that Jon could sort it so quick. One of my members has just had exactly the same issue with his 928, lucky he was on the drive when it happened so was able to knock it off straight away.

Hi Jim :)

Luckily for me my Nitrous system uses plastic high pressure pipes so no rust :)

I have not seen this PLASTIC high pressure fuel injection pipe that is used on all the latest 911`s before and James was telling me a lot of other manufacturers are using it now....

Its main two advantages are that , A, it cannot rust .. and B, with the correct compression fittings it can replace ANY size length of rusted metal pipe without having to go all the way from front to back etc, with all the problems that brings...

But the post was mainly about Jon`s amazing service.....

He has expanded so much now, he probably had a good 20 or 30 Porsche's of all models there being worked on....

All the best Brett :)

Did you see mine there Brett? :bounce: :bounce:
It was still chucking out loads of unburnt fuel and smoke on Monday when I checked in to see progress. I like to give Jon and team interesting challenges
Saturday pickup hopefully

Andy
