Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you can help me track down someone who might want to bring his or her 928 S4, GT or GTS along to a photoshoot for Classic Cars magazine. We're matching it up with a few other supercar bargains (the usual Italian suspects and a Lotus Esprit Turbo) and spreading it over 11 pages. We'll need someone who's happy to talk about the ownership experience - good, bad or indifferent, it's all worth knowing about and we want to be as honest and helpful as we can to the readers.

It's likely to be towards the end of the third week of this month, say 21st or 22nd August, and either in Cheshire or the Surrey/Berkshire/M25 area. We'll cover fuel and food expenses.

We're not fussy about colours and spec as long as the car is a) outwardly standard-looking and b) not a shed. Concours examples are nice, but not necessary, as the camera is pretty flattering and we need someone who'll turn up even if it's drizzling!

Feel free to give me a bell direct on the numbers below or email if you have any questions. I will also be checking replies on this forum too but not often as I may be out of the office in the next day or two.

Best regards,

Nigel Boothman

Hi Nigel.

I have a purple LHD 1995 928 GTS you can use. Its standard apart from the wheels which are copy 18" Cup 3 types. I've owned the car since 2000 when I bought it from Porsche Werks 1 where it had been a company car since new.

I personally would add a 944 Turbo to the test as these cars have similar performance and are real bargains.

Stephen, the article is purely a one car buying guide not a comparison. They have just done the 944 I think it'll be in the October or November mag. It will be Paul Greers 944.
