FIGHTINGTORQUE AND 1000 HP ......and 200 mph...

Hi All

I have just applied to enter this years Fighting Torque....

It is a standing Mile at an Raf airfield in Suffolk.

Last year it was cut back to a standing 3/4 mile so I withdrew my entry ( I wanted the standing mile record)

They allow around 100 of the top super cars and some modified cars and I hope I will be accepted......

Last years winner was a Noble m400 with a time of 23.50 seconds at 173.20 mph ...but that was only a standing 3/4 mile, so I am going to have to hit over 200 to win this over a mile

Now if I am accepted, I am going to have to run my full 1000 hp of WON Pro Race Nitrous (plus my 350 hp of Porsche power)

The only thing I do not like about this event is the "standing start" as I designed mine for a "rolling start" high speed run....

I will let you know if I am accepted.......

Sounds like there'll be some serious horsepower at that, best of luck with it!

They have refused my entry...for various reasons :evil:

The real reason being , I think, that they dont want a 22 year old 928 beating all that expensive metal they are accepting ....and I would have....

Hi Brett

I`ve been following this NOS odyssey for a while but want to know exactly what the car does at the moment.

Have you 1/4 mile times or rolling roaded it or been in any sort of competitive speed runs?

Its not designed for 1/4s and have only run one to set up some electronics....it ran a 17 with the rear wheels spinning the WHOLE quarter lolll...

Local rolling road wont allow me to run as they are afraid I will break their dyno

...so only dyno run I have a print out for is an old one with only a small amount of Nitrous at 505 hp/512 ft lbs torque..

Competitive runs = no...not yet, most wont let me run

Actual speed......hmmm....no proof, but just over 200 mph...

Thats shame as it would be interesting to see how it does.

Why dont you write to Top Gear or Piston Heads, I`m sure they would be interested?
