Hi again,

Just a thought, i am no starting to get the idea that there are many different lengths and types of torque tube, i understand that manual and auto would differ and also for the S2, S4 etc.... but now i think there might be different lengths of torque tube for all S4s

So my question is, did the 928 Auto S4 have varying lengths produced for it from 89 - 91? Because i have sourced a 89 S4 TT and what is the guarantee that if will fit straight to my 91? Its just that i cant measure the current broken one due to it still being under the car.

UPDATE - After doing a bit of homework, i THINK that the part number for an 89 TqueTb is 960 421 012 05 and a 91 TqueTb 960 421 012 07 and have been assured they DIDNT change size. If anyone thinks im wrong, please do say as i am about to order and ship the part! :)

Thanks.

Mark

As far as I can tell, and the fact that there were no engine changes for that period, I'm 99.9% that it will fit straight in. :D

cheers Lee, i found a very useful contact - Simon - highly reccomended who sourced me a good TT so all i have to do now is fit it! SO, the job, does the whole rear end need to be dropped? Or can it be squeezed in with minimal fuss......

Ahhh, did you speak to Steptoe Watson? I got an email from him today, out of the blue. Thoroughly nice chap and very helpful. I bought several items from him, and would do so again. :D

This has gone quiet.

Did you repair your 928 and get back to the UK with it?
