Does anybody know if it's reasonably easy to convert to LHD and what's entailed (besides a new steering rack & dash)?

Having thought about a LS engine conversion I know the bulkhead is different for the steering column and clutch master cylinder and the front cross member is different. Although someone did tell me the rack is the same just turned upside down, not to sure about that.

The rack will be different otherwise when you steer left the car will steer right! Think about it!

I had the TR7 shell converted from LHD to RHD & even with donor bits from a RHD car it was several days work & that was people that do it often. I'd say on a 944 it's a none starter.

Just go and buy one from one of our European neighbours - probably / definitely the easiest way to go.

There is a US spec LHD 944T on e-bay just now, just needs a bottom end re-build!
