Hi, can anyone tell me the part number of the rubber ring which joins the back off the air box 2 the maf. On 1988 S? Mine has started 2 leak air from were it's so detrgated. Or some thing else that can be used? Also if anyone has a spare S airbox. One off the screws in the conner wouldn't come out and I had 2 cut though it 2 change the airfilter. Iv heard that s2 maf and box can add a few extra hbp ? Anyone else heard this? |

I'm not sure which part you need, have a look at the catalogue here - http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/or ... ATALOG.pdf I wouldn't bother swapping the maf (technically its an afm) as the s & s2 use the same one! |

It's just an O ring. Just measure with some verniers. If you haven't got any get some! Most good garages will have boxes of them in any size you can think of. Shouldn't be expensive. JMG would post you one if your stuck. They will know the size & it will be the right one when it arrives. ![]() |

No, on an S it's air box up tight against maf, the join is covered by a rubber ring. About 30 wide. Thanks. Call jmc tmw |

If it's 30mm wide it's a hose. O rings have an O cross section & I've never seen one more than 4mm. I was thinking of the throttle not the AFM to air filter. JMG will be the easy option. Though anywhere that sells silicon hose will supply you with one for a lot less than £28! Larkspeed, Demon thieves, Carbuilder solutions etc. |

Maybe 30mm was a large guess, just wider then a jubbley clip. 20-30 mm. Then relise it would be called a hose. Thanks are look at some options |
