When I put my full beams on my left head light was going out completely, then recently the whole left side would go out, fogs and driving lights. with fears off looking like a motor bike, with the nights getting longer I decide 2 try and find the cause.

Working alone didn't speed things along, flicking switch then running round 2 see what's working and what's not.

When I swaped the bumper 2 a turbo and jioned the cables 2 the turbo plugs, I knew that all was working as it should. Wondering if maybe at respary something had came losse or caused a fluatly connection.

I removed the bumper and and worked out which colour cable did what. Pulged the right side in 2 the left, this poved the light uints were find. There was a connection problem  in the connection blocks I had used 2 join the wires, which sorted the fogs and driving lights, but still had the full beam problem.

Next I removed the head light lids, and ran some cables from the connector block 2 the lamp, 2 see which wire did what, and with the right side working I took that as gospel. Worked out that the White cable if full beam and yellow is normal.

Next I swapped over the connection block uint and this proved 2 be working fine. So all that's was left were the main wires running a long and under the front bumper sortport.

I cut open the rubber housing and started 2 look 4 a brake in the wire, gave the White cable a light pull and a peace about 200mm long came free. Offered it back up, 2 see were it had parted ways. Great some were in the main wiring. I could get at the brack without disconnecting all the electrical items on the left side, and the power steering hoses, as the wiring comes up behind the hard line.

Found a few 5 split wires in total. Joined them up with inline connectours.

Now feed it all back though and in 2 the right place was a right pain. There's hardly any room.

By this time is had got dark, and each time it rained I had 2 replace the head light lids and shut the bonnet. Worked but light from a lamp. Not really ideal. But I didn't francy leaving the wiring open 2 the weather over night.

Did a few other bits, tryed 2 remove the head lamp washers hoses and pump, as iv delted the jets. didn't work out 2 well. Couldn't get the pump free, strange as the washer jet removes easyly, almost 2 easy. Found a repire in the washer jet line, and as my hose was made a tad 2 short and tight by the spray shop, I removed it in hope off replacing it with something from halfords. They had nothing so I uses the line from the headlight jets, along the fender and the the windscreen  washer hose from the fire wall up and from the screen wash bottle 2 d pump.

Another unsucssefull move was, 2 trim the power steering hoses and and fit new clips on the unstracthed tight hose. The hose was so tight a fit I couldn't get it passed the nunckal. Tryed heat, left a extension bar in it over night and all it did was split when I was using all my might 2 force it on,even tryed 2 lubricate it with power steering fuild. So lucky I had a 2nd set up so I replaced the hose but keep the banjo bolt from my old line as it seemed better nick. At one point I was lying in a puddle against the curb 2 un screw the banjo bolt from the pump

But on a successfully note I did swap over the foglight uints 4 the new ones. This require cut and drilling out the old fixing from the lense backing.

Sprayed over the red spray inside off the indouctours, seems someone had sprayed the bumper b4 with just the lenses removed and the uints in situat.

Battey had also ran flat and needed charging, which was a worrying time as I had removed the leads from the coil. ( I had also clean the heads while they were off.

So that was my weekend off porsching.

Heat them up with a hair drier until they are soft.
