can I check the timing on the 968 in the old fasion way with a timing light ??

If so where are the marks, I have looked everywhere.

The answer is no you cannot. And I'm not sure why you'd want to? It is triggered from a sensor on the flywheel & then triggering the DME Bosch management which maps the ignition & value according to the various sensors.

There is however a TDC mark on the flywheel viewable from the top of the bellhousing. t least I assume it is the same as the 944 anyway.
