Mines an automatic, so whats in the clutch housing?

My new engine thats due to go into my car has a manual clutch and gearbox and its only just occured to me that i will have to change that for whatever it is attached to my engine, the outer casing looks exactly the same but without a cluth lever, doe anyone know much about this? if it snot a standard clutch what is it called? any ideas? thanks :-)

What you have is a big rubber damper that bolts between the flywheel and TT.
Really have never understood Porsches fixation with rubber back in the 80's!!

Can't remember now if the flywheel iself is different or not, I'm guessing you are going to drop the autobox and slid the TT back out of the way?

Its not a huge job once the engine is in, just a bit time consuming getting everything in place and lined up, just give me a shout if you need any advice, did it on my driveway in the snow last Dec :lol:

ahh that makes sense :-)

thanks, i went to swap my engine the last couple days and once it was out realised the inside of the clutch casing is different, and there is so little information about it, any other details will be handy :-)
