I've ordered another load of parts for my 944 that will let me put the rear axle back on the car and finish off all the fiddly bits around the car.

Once I've put that lot on the only things left are:
  • Change timing and balance belts
  • New Tyres
  • New brake pads, shoes and front discs
  • Replace windscreen
  • Get a replacement window switch
  • Take it for its first MOT in 10 years!

Trying to hold in the excitement until after I've got the belts done as I'm probably going to have to replace the water pump too. Since I've just bought a horde of parts my bank balance is going to have to recover before I do that.

Looking forward to finally getting the car on the road!

You will probably be running before me! If you want to do the water pump then wait to do the belts or you will have to do the lot again! Check condition of rollers while your in there. I'd do the seals as there pretty cheap.

Planning to do it all at once but going to inspect it all to see what needs doing. I know that before the car went into storage it had a top end rebuild but sadly no documentation of anything else that was done with it. I know the belts were replaced and it's hardly been run since but there's no way I'm running around on 10 year old belts!

The garage that did the work were going to see if they could dig up the invoice for the work but they didn't come up with anything as it was so long ago.

Got to get the thing back on its wheels before I can look into it as where it is there's no room to get in front of the car. Just gives me something to think about.

Try paisley freight. They have moved a few sets of wheels for me. Think their website has price for bumpers etc.
