Look what I just got for £100...... bargain!

Will turn the passenger one into a good driver's one, then there will be a pair of Classic Grey leather seats on e-bay again.

Yeah, not really linen as avertisted, which was prob y they didn't really reach much. Are you also looking at the grey club sport and gear gaitter?

They are classic grey leather - which is exactly what I wanted. I suspect there was little interest because of the rarity of the colour (almost as rare as Jim's burgundy he's always chasing after) and the fact that they were collection only. I don't really care, £100 for two leather electric Recaros is alright whatever the colour.

I don't really understand this 'linen' thing. Is it a colour or a fabric?

Picked up the seats from Swanley. They were bought by the guy two years ago for £150 to be used in his 1994 964 Targa Fiora - it's very very nice - but he didn't realise until too late that they did not have the 'wings' (like the Turbo seats) that his car's seats have. They have spent all their time stored in his garage. Because of this they have accumulated the smell and dirt on them from being stored. A scrub up with Autoglym leather cleaner and they are now fresher and cleaner than the one's in my car. I just need to treat them now with my Meguiar's Gold Class conditioner. I will have the back-rest bolsters recovered as there is the usual hole from getting in and out, but the seats 'innards' are nice and firm and everything works - so I really am pleased.

My old driver's seat is too far gone for restoration - both the leather and the insides are knackered. The motors, switches, and all other moving bits are in excellent condition and work well, so I will break them down and offer them for sale.

The old passenger seat, which is currently my driver's seat (are you still with me?), is in very good condition, good enough that it is being stripped of all the runners and motors etc, and being made into an office chair. I am binning the seat of the office chair and simply screwing the swivel base with five spider legs (I'm sure you know what I mean) onto the car seat.

I will then have a Porsche Recaro Classic Grey leather office chair :D

I'll post a photo when it's done.
