Finally got my refurbed Design 90s and fitted them this evening. The 944 now looks much nicer to my mind :D

My refurber did a really nice job, and even sprayed up the centre caps to match 8) . Thanks to Tom for letting me have them in the first place ;) .

Looking forward to showing them off at Castle Combe Rallyday in the morning...

Veru nice - I love these cars on the original wheels.
I too hope to go back to the original wheels for my car soon.

Nice look and the refurb looks a nice job too.

Yep, metal centres from Tom's recent advert in Parts for Sale ;) . The silver parts were repainted to match the wheels.

Car feel good from a few miles round the block after fitting. It seems better than with the Boxster wheels, but that may just be the placebo effect of knowing I have the correct wheels fitted now  .

Funnily enough I am about to go the opposite way and fit a set of boxster wheels(which are perfect) instead of my D90's (which are knackered) :)

In case anyone's interested, my original Boxster wheels are now available in Parts for Sale ;) . They are fitted with good Falken FK452 tyres with plenty of tread left.

Personally, I'm much happier with my new Design 90s...

Yup, looking good on the D90s, I regretted swapping to 16" 968 cup 1s on my 944S, except that you could get in to clean the inside rim of the wheels easily though the holes

Fabulous wheels. Mine has the original wheels as well. It was part of the criteria when I was looking.
Mine are generally OK but could do with a nice re-firb as well but I think this will have to wait until next year.
It does make all the difference to the overall finish of the car.

Fantastic job here, keep them clean and scratch free and enjoy.

With winter coming are would wait until the sun is out again, ur have longer 2 enjoy them, 16" are slightly easyer 2 curb. But 15" rarely suffer curb damage.

It won't be going out much in the winter anyway, so no need to keep them ;) . I have my eye on a set of 17s now, that will be useful for track days next year, saving the Design 90s for best 8) ...
