Hi, has anybody relocated the alternator to where an aircon compressor would be?
Is there any reason why I couldn't move it?

Why? I'm thinking about fitting a supercharger into the space where the alternator currently is mounted, from what I can tell fitting the SC down below the alternator could create more problems with air hoses.

There is a few ways of doing it. I was thinking about using a bracket and belts off a none air con equiped car that moves the alternater down low. There is also a few companies in the States that sell specific billet ally brackets. Like this,

There are also a few I've seen on Rennlist that have used smaller alternators to get a bit more room and save a bit of weight.

thanks for the link - I don't have AC so I wonder if my car already has the OEM delete bracket fitted?

Just looking at the PET, the only cars with the higher alternator bracket were the ones with option M573, which is air con. So your's probably is the lower bracket.
