is there much difference between 911 6 pot calipers VS cayenne 6 pot calipers
eg. weight, bulk, braking force ?
i have not seen either up close to compare .

wil they fit on MO3O hub ?
or s2/turbo hub ?
or need adaptor brackets ?

what is the largest disc that will fit a MO3O hub ?

I dunno but the Cayenne 6 pots are massive! I suspect you'd need 19" wheels at least. A quick google gives 355mm for the Cayenne with these callipers. That is 14"! It looks like the VW guys fit them to their cars but smaller discs won't be correct for the pad/calliper radius.

I went to Porschapart last weekend to try and find an alternative calipers for my M030 hubs.

Jim's right the Cayenne calipers are enormous and they are not radial mounted. The 6 pistons aren't any bigger than those in the 996 GT3/Turbo calipers but the pads are much bigger and they weigh a ton.

The 996 Carrera calipers are the same as the Boxster S calipers and they have the same bolt centres as the M030 calipers but only use a 28mm thick disc. The Carrera 4S and 6 pot GT3/Turbo calipers have bolt centres 10mm bigger so don't just bolt up. I tried several different GT3 and 4S calipers with no joy. I was hoping that there was a variation in the bolt centres on different year cars. I did think about an adapter while I was there but the same difference in bolt centres would make it difficult, because you would have to make it curved to keep the caliper centred to the hub.

Also I didn't get a chance to try any discs because I run out of time with them only being open until noon on a Saturday. After talking to the guys there they suggested just refurbing the existing calipers and spacing them out to get a bigger disc on. They suggested that a 2 piece disc from someone like Compbrake might be the way to go.
