Have heard a sqeaking noise which sounds similar to 924/944 at rear of car.Was louder when i had a passenger in the rear! I,ve read from an old porsche mag that even a new 968 in 95 still had the infamous squeaking noise from rear cabin.Does anyone have any clarity on this ? Am sure both other models had this ! :?

I used to get a squeaking noise on hard cornering or hard acceleration out of a corner but Ive had 4 new shock absorbers fitted this year and havent heard the squeak since, maybe thats your problem? :)

Could be the sound of a de-bonding rear hatch. If the adhesive starts to come away from between the glass and the frame this can cause a squeak as the frame flexes.

For reference, my 968 doesn't have a squeak from the rear, so they don't all do it :D

Check your bridge spoiler for any movement. I was chasing a squeak for ages which turned out to be the bridge spoiler moving slightly. I secured mine with Teflex and it's been silent ever since.

I couldn't get any of the screws out and they were all spinning round so opted just to bond it on at the mounts.

Check your hockey sticks too as the stupid little fasteners can work loose. Also don't over tighten those as you can break the plastic! These being loose at all also causes squeaking. Best soak them in WD40 for a while before trying to tighten and you'll need to be creative as it's a round nut with notches at either side. I used a little screwdriver and used a hammer to dink them round. PITA!
