Hi,
just got myself a 1985 944 lhd US spec after I wrote off my 944S.
Lovely car but i haven't got any pics of it yet.
Unfortunately i am having problems with the sunroof, I looked through the guide on clarks-garage.com but cant find the solution for it.
It has the early sunroof motor. The problem is that when the sunroof switch is pressed I can hear the motor working but the sunroof doesn't move. So I thought the slip clutch needed adjusting but when i looked at the motor it looks like the adjustment screw has been removed.
I tried to put a normal screw into it so i could measure the current going through the motor but the slot for the manual adjustment tool is mashed so i cant get it in.

If someone could give me some advise on what to do now, will i need a new motor?

Not sure how it works but the adjuster screw will appy pressure to a clutch plate via a spring load, try to get someone to operate it and insert a small screwdriver where the asjuster should be and apply some pressure see if it will spring into life.
Can the hole where the adjuster was be drilled and tapped or as a last resort get a self tapper in there.
