Just crossed 200,000 today. Is it run in now so I can go over 50mph? Still on the original clutch as well...... amazing. |

Noooo, be careful - just give it a few more miles, just to be sure, to be sure. ![]() |

Have you had it for all those miles???? Good going out of one clutch. Does depend how you drive it though! Motorway miles never bothered my '44. But it hates going local. ![]() |

Well done John and welcome to the 200 club (our S2 did the same thing last week) I've been told it might now be safe to go past 5000rpm ![]() |

Be careful, don't just open it right up, increase the revs slowly, say 1000 revs every 500 miles, don't want to undo that careful running in ![]() |

I'm the second owner, bought the car on 139000 miles. It's my daily driver, but like I have said on many occasions I drive like a vicar. I have every receipt including the original sales invoice. The car was up for £5700, and indeed that was the price asked for it when it was on Used Car Roadshow, but I knocked him down to £4850 because I suggested a new clutch would be needed soon and he said a rear driveshaft was rattling. I still haven't had the clutch changed and the rattling was the brake pads rattling in the calipers - sorted out by adjusting the springs. Great car but now getting closer and closer to coming off the road to have the usual body work done - no need to list it, just 'the usual'. |
