Thinking of selling my turbo. Next year I will be moving abroad so I'm thinking of maybe selling now before the price drops even more next year. I bought her two years ago for £6995 and have done about 4000 miles in that time. She has now done 113000 and had a MOT and full service in April, and had all the belts etc changed on 105251 miles.
In the two years I've owned her she has given me trouble free motoring and sailed through both MOT's. The only thing that did cost me was a new air-con compressor and re-gas. I've also re-connollised the split and worn leather seats in a new colour as well as changing the cracked dash as some might recall in a previous post. The gauge and instrument lights have all been changed to blue leds, even the heater controls and gear lever which look really modern at night. The body work is in good shiny condition but she does have the odd car park ding and stone chips to the front and wing mirrors as you would expect from a car of this age. The important parts like lower wings and cills are all good and rust free. Mechanically she is spot on having been well maintained over the years and comes with a fully (17) stamped up service book.
She also has fairly new discs and pads all round and nearly new Toyo proxes. I've also purchased the clock repair kit but have yet to fit this. She has been fitted with the Promax level 2 kit and has recorded just shy of the 300 bhp mark. She pulls really well and when on full boost she never fails to put a smile on my face. She is a !989 MO30 equipped model with 968 rear caster mounts and a 3" stainless steel Hayward & Scott exhaust system. Apart from the clock everything works. I've also fitted a new radio cd player with built in sat nav although I must say the radio reception is pretty poor but i have kept the original as well as the original steering wheel. I've also had a new Toad alarm fitted. Apart from all the good points listed above the bad points would be the small (but to a fussy eye like mine, bloody annoying) car park dings, the stone chips to the front and wing mirrors, the odd paint work scratch (very very small), a paint work repair to a rear wing that if you catch it in the right light you can see the paint blend, a badly touched up rear diffuser, a replaced front windscreen that hasn't been seated in the middle and the common floppy gear lever fault.
I would like to ask your opinion on what sort of price I should aim for in this current down turn in the market.
