Alan Gunn leather products are apparently very good, based in the states though. They also do steering wheel refurb kits as well,

I bought one off ebay too. It didn't fit to well and I managed to brake the insert as I put it all back together, but that was me just being ham-fisted. Best to get from a company that someones tried before.

Just noticed this on their website
"And of course, we make our core knob with the same look and feel of the OEM knob. The only difference between the OEM and AGLA knob is that we have updated it to 968, 911 Carrera specs. i.e. No more metal clips or rubber grommets to wear away. Regardless of year 944 the knobs slide fits in seconds like newer Porsches."

Interesting as the rubber grommets have started to wear in my car and $60 doesn't sound so bad for that.

Not 2 sure which ebAy item it was but it was a good fit, I couldn't get the gear posstion insert out, so I just pre streched it a few times then guled it down, with super gule, good 4 the top part, around the insert. But set 2 quick on the main shafted. Deff looks a lot better then the fore skin look some are rocking, lol were they just cut back the split /worn leather
