I have had my car since 1984 and it has been in store for the past 6 years, its in the process of having its MOT. I have one niggling problem which has plagued the car since I had it and that is the cooloing fan, its inermittant and had caused the engine on occasion to overheat. Thats why I intialy stored it.. It seemed to be an expense too many. I know this will appen again, had noticed that the fuse for the fan in the passengers footwell seemed to have worked lose with vibration, I tightened the fuse holder, but the fault still occurred I seem to remember some time ago that the a friend fitted a kenlow fan (i think) and he had running continualy... Is this a remedy is it a practical solution or is there another way to rectify this... Any advice will be greatly appreciated... |

If it's not running constantly when the engine is hot it could possibly be a duff temp sensor (different one to the guage and situated in the radiator) or there's air in the radiator causing the sensor to not read the temp properly. It could however be a bad connection somewhere. Hope you manage to get to the bottom of it. |

just get the fans fuse fixed Unless you do have an overheating problem there is no way that you shold fit another fan |
