Am I ok to put pink anti-freeze in my 1986 944 turbo, a friend said I should use blue - I thought that the pink stuff was just better quality and longer lasting. Any thoughts? cheers Mark |

Any thoughts? cheers Mark Mine has the Halfords long life pink/.red one in with no harm & I used it in the TR7 with no issues. But I think there is a valid school of thought that you shouldn't use OAT type Anti freezes in 944's so should really be blue. |

Should be blue, just to be on the safe side. Early OAT coolants had an appetite for copper and so the cooling systems had to be designed to take this into account, although I think that the latest versions can be mixed with either OAT or the older blue ethylene glycol. |
