Just got back from the garage with a new MOT, advisory on reversing lights.....at home I found fuse 9 for reversing lights, rear window wiper, external rear view mirrors (wing mirrors) had blown. I have so far replaced the fuse 3 times and it blows as soon as the ignition key is turned has anyone else had experience of this problem any sugestion much appreciated.

Check for short on gearbox wiring to switch, chafes, shorts & breaks in the rear hatch wiring & the door wiring where it pivots.

Thanks Jim, reminds me of the fun I had with a Volvo tailgate once. However, I did remove the fuse box and found a couple of trapped wires that were bared through but having run out of fuses it will have to wait till tomorrow now before I can get to the source of the problem. Thanks again

Sounds like you might just have found your fault. A bit of heat shrink round the bare wires and they'll be as good as new.
